Sealand Team

  • SCOTT HYLAND

Owner and founder of Sealand Sports, Scott is an “old-timer” in the kitesurfing scene here at Sullivan’s Island. He has a wealth of knowledge to share with our customers at the shop, whether it’s providing a detailed, fun-filled kite lesson, or recommending the best gear to get started out in the water with. When he’s not riding the waves himself, you can find Scott grabbing a bite to eat and a cocktail in Sullivan's Island town center.

  • NORMAN SILVERMAN

A kitesurfer with more than 20 years of experience, Norm has been deemed the “Silver Fox” by his peers. As a PASA certified instructor, Norm is one of the best in the business at showing riders the fundamentals of kitesurfing and providing successful and unforgettable lessons for all of our customers. Norm also has a passion for graphic design, where he founded his company Outdoor Addiction, selling to surf shops all across the country.

  • Nick Urroz

Commonly found shredding the waters of station 28.5 Nick fly highing kitesurfers you'll find on Sullivan's Island. Nick is one of our dedicated instructors who takes pride in sharing the sport and the thrill with his students. Nick also is our Core team rider and rides as a Core athlete.

  • Sydney Meyer

Usually adventuring around Sullivan's with a camera in her hand, Sydney is always up for a session where she captures incredible photos and videos of kitesurfers and the beauty of the island. Sydney also is our F-One rider and loves spreading the cheer of kiteboarding with others and is the creator of the documentary "Women in Kiteboarding."

  • BISHOP

The friendliest Australian Shepherd on the island, Bishop loves to meet and interact with all of our customers at the shop. You’ll find him sniffing his way around the entire property, catching some zzz’s or curiously watching all the passersby through the window.
